Letter from Will [William] Fraser, Bath to William Cullen

Case of Mr Bruce. He writes that 'we have frequent opportunities here of seeing cutaneous diseases'. He had seen a case of lepra [leprosy] graecorum which matched Cullen's definition and two diseases mentioned by Hillary, one of elephantiasis and the other leprosy of the joints or lepra arabum. He writes that 'from my own observations in these two cases I suspect that there is sufficient grounds to constitute two distinct genera' and goes on to give details of the cases.
